Homeopathic Master Clinician, Natural Medicine Physician, Nutrition Counselor,

Doctor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine

Mary Lee was born in Idaho and was raised in Washington DC. She attended George Washington University and graduated with a B.S. degree in Chemistry, with a minor in Genetics. Before entering George Washington University Medical School, she worked for the University of California as a research associate in Immunology and Neurology. During Medical School she continued research in Immunology at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and the American Pharmaceutical Association.

Dr. Bergman followed an interest in Nutrition and Traditional Asian diet. She went on to pursue an Acupuncture Physician certification. Since then she has studied with internationally known homeopaths like Jan Scholten, Louis Klein and Durr Ellmore.

Her practice, Broward Natural Medicine, the first of its kind in Broward County, Florida opened in 1989. She has continued research, practice and now is also teaching at the Atlantic Institute of Oriental Medicine. In 2018, she graduated with a doctoral degree in acupuncture and oriental medicine. The same year she also survived late-stage Lymphoma cancer.

"I survived cancer" is easy to say and I am so grateful. A diagnosis of cancer is devastating to the patient and their family. As a survivor, I am in the unique position to aid you and your family in navigating the medical system, the ins, and outs of traditional medical therapies and suggestions for comfort in the face of treatment effects. Please call to discuss your individual needs and concerns.

During 2016-2018, she was enrolled in the Doctoral program at the Atlantic Institute of Oriental Medicine. Her experience has been a culmination of decades of research in medical immunology. Every aspect of my practice is intrinsically built on this foundation. As a medical student, she was on the team that elucidated T cells, making way for treatment breakthroughs for Lupus, HIV, RA and much more. She worked on the development of Interferon at NIH, which was employed in the treatment of Hepatitis and HIV. As a graduate student, it was an honor to complete her thesis on a study of the mechanisms of Dendritic cells and an adaptive biological system comparison to the traditional Chinese Medical concept of Wei Qi (the protective energy).

In her practice, Dr. Mary Lee Bergman uses a combination of natural modalities; a detailed-intake and history are pivotal. She then designs a protocol for your personal goals. Classical homeopathy has deep and lasting effects, while nutrition and herbs aid your body's immediate repair. At her practice, many insurances may be covered.

                                       Dr.  Mary Lee Bergman

"Your optimum health is my concern. Over my 30 plus years of experience, I have helped many people realize their health and lifestyle goals. I am sure that there is something more than "palliative" medicine. In other words, each and every human is created and designed for a certain potential. Departing from less than lasting results is my goal. I take, very seriously, the responsibility of finding the best way to remove any obstacles to YOU being your very best ." - Mary Lee Bergman
